Rice PF Kadeem Jack
Rice High School (N.Y.) standout, Kadeem Jack, isn't like most of his teammates. He didn't grow up learning the game of basketball from an early age. He wasn't raised in a society that exposes youth to the sport from day one. No, the 6-foot-8 senior power forward grew up playing soccer more than 2,000 miles southeast, in his home country of Trinidad and Tobago, where he lived until he was 12 years old. It wasn't until the summer before he was to begin high school that Jack would have a chance run in with a stranger, who would introduce him to the sport and change his life.
