After building the base of their 2017 recruiting class with New Jersey recruits, Coach Ash and staff appear to be reaching into the sunshine state to build the 2018 class. Among the Floridians targeted by the Scarlet Knights is safety Maxwell Worship who holds offers from Rutgers, Vanderbilt, and Kentucky with interest from many other schools.

It is early in the recruiting process but Worship has an affinity for the Scarlet Knights along with a few things being in their favor.
"I like Rutgers. My sister lives in New York she's a lawyer so it would be nice to be around her. Rutgers is recruiting me to play Safety for them. And I have a steady relationship with DB Coach Baker", said Worship.

"I could see myself playing football in New Jersey for Rutgers because I'd be closer to my sister and I look good in red".

There is no question that Worship's list of offers will increase especially after the May evaluation period where numerous coaches will visit Cardinal Gibbons. However, there are a few factors that play in the Scarlet Knights' favor.

"The three factors for Rutgers would be location, being near my sister and being able to see her more often. Academics, what Rutgers can help with and teach me life after football. Coaching me and teaching me the abilities and skills to take me to the next level", stated Worship.

Although the Knights appear to be solidly positioned for Worship's services, an offer from a childhood favorite school might derail Rutgers' efforts.

"My favorite school as a kid was the University of Florida. It would be a dream come true if they offered", said Worship.

But it will be a while before any school knows they have secured Worship's services.

"I don't plan on making a final decision on what school I'll be attending any time soon."
