College: Spent 2010 as a wide receiver in the scout team. Rutgers will look to use his speed on the defensive side of the ball in 2011.

High school: Jawaun didn't play much up to his senior year due to the depth at Piscataway, but came out the gates as Piscataway's leading receiver and deep ball threat in 2009.

Straight line speed and overall athletic ability. Height, frame and speed combination have many around Rutgers thinking he could be a Kenny Britt type. Dominated the combine circuit this spring.

Game experience. Has not dominated a game with the pads on.
