In 2009, Paul VI ran the table in the regular season, but fell victim to St. Peter’s Prep in the state playoffs. For Barnett, it was a breakout year as he made Second Team All-Conference at the fullback position. Barnett ran for 149 yards on 19 carries, an average of 7.84 yards per carry.
