College: Young was once a starter at the running back positon, but after having dealt with knee instability, he now shares the load with other members of the stable.

High School: The 4-year varsity starter garnered First Team All-State honors by The Star-Ledger and the Associated Press. He was also the Camden Courier-Post Player of the Year as a senior. Gloucester County Times also awarded young with their Offensive Player of the Year honor.
